Some will say the opposition were poor but with this team
Areola,Coufal,Kehrer,Ogbonna,Emerson. Downes,Rice,Lanzini,Benrhama,Scamacca,Cornet.
We struggled to beat the same team.
Last nights team had too much energy and were always in control.
Moyes got lucky that Scarles played so well and there's no way I will believe he intended to keep him on for 90 minutes on a yellow too

lol... I've been moaning about that with our 1st team for a while now.
Even though they were mostly kids they had the right idea. If your Scamaca and you know crosses are going to come in from either side you just stay in the middle and get your goals. Its not rocket science!

Good summary of Mubama. I think he started off a bit to pumped and excited,understandable. Scarles didn't look phased at all,when he made a mistake did something positive immediatley. When Mumbama missed that first chance you could see he thought "that could of been it" but kept getting in the right position. Moyes should virtually play this team against Blackburn give everyone another chance.
Marshall is a better finisher has more skill and touch than Mubama ever will but it's how he devolps in the next year. He's gone up a level and it might be a bit to soon but credit for trying him there. Let him play inbetween both levels until the new year and then maybe a FA Cup appearance as a sub if we get a lowly club.
Scarles is more of a Man City youth looking to do little tricks and clever balls out of danger.
Like we had last year we have what seems like a better choice already than our current reserve wing back,Emerson. But I think wing back is not where Scarles will play in a couple of years,that could well be Clayton who is just a bit more solid defending but can stike the ball better.
Definately play the 2 youngsters against Blackburn and have someone like Antonio on the bench

Great night for the youngsters. Great result. Great qualifying campaign.
Now back to reality and the PL. Must win games now up to WC so we push up table and go into WC in a positive position.

Yeh, was great to see the youngsters so well and to see an upbeat performance.
They’ll come on a bundle for that.
Let’s hope the sweaty pushes the boat out and gives em a go in the first team.

I do think he has run his course. He is a good manager and we have had 2 great seasons but I don’t think we will improve under him. I think we will just become like his Everton side and just sit mid table and bother no one.
Maybe the side is ready for someone just to come in and release the handbrake.
I genuinely believe he will turn it round but it won’t be because he has suddenly discovered a new exciting formation it will just be because we have got our fitness levels up and a few players back.
It might be nice to pass the baton on to someone like Potter

Did anyone actually slag him off, or did they just give an opinion on whether they thought he looked like he'd make it at the highest level.
He took up some brilliant positions and made good runs, fluffed his lines a lot but understandable as probably nervous, will look forward to seeing more of him

Regarding Scarles debut at such a young age, he hardly put a foot wrong on a massive occasion for him, so fair play for that. He seemed to stick to orders though, keep it simple, don’t waste possession, and get a few crosses in, all of which he did well.
The thing that puzzles me is that Scarles got crosses in because he released it early and bent it left footed around the defender so it swerved back away from the goal towards the incoming attackers.
A left footed player, playing on the left, swings in left footed crosses? That is a rarity these days.

Some of the slagging off of the young boy muamba by the usual suspects on here is shameful. did they see how poor Brucie kane was during his loan spells at orient wall Norwich and Leicester and he turned out well in the end. and the fact that the club had to pull out all the stops to prevent him going to man city shows the young boy has plenty of potential .
